2011 SAG Award Red Carpet Trends

I noticed a few trends on the red carpet. Gowns were either nude, pink, orange or red. Make up was very clean with no emphasis on the eye and a slightly pink cheek.

I wasn't too sure if I was liking the color palette, only because of the way it played off of the carpet that is already red. However, if I'm not looking at the carpet and just the gowns I like it. Mila Kunis was definitely my favorite out of this bunch H2T.

What are you thinking of this trend?

2011 SAG Awards

I have been completely underwhelmed this awards season. So much so that I didn't do a post for the Golden Globes. I planned on it...but I just didn't care anymore. From hair, to gowns, to make up I was just left wanting more. However there are some red carpet regulars that never let me down.

Here are my favorites from tonight......and MY personal winners from the red carpet are.....

Hilary Swank
Hilary Swank looked lovely in her nude gown. Just wish her hair was pulled back just a little more. I don't like when there is an off the shoulder or one shoulder gown just for you to cover it up with your tresses. Move those locks and show that shoulder!

Eva Longoria
Eva Longoria is always my  number 1 on the red carpet. From hair, to makeup, gown and accessories she is always well put together. There is always continuity in her ensemble and then a surprise pop of color. Although there wasn't a pop of color there was the slight chance of a nip slip on the red carpet forecast.

Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian...Oh Kimmy.....she never lets me down. She looks stunning in Marchesa and I love this wine/burgundy color on her. I was surprised by the nearly naked face but it works. Wish the hair was slightly more controlled but still better than most that showed up.

Sofia Vergara
Sofia Vergara looked amazing in this cobalt gown. She never leaves anything to the imagination when it comes to curves and cleavage, however I normally don't like her gowns. She tends to look she's always in a cheap prom gown but this time she got it right. Now only if she would do something different with her hair.....

Lea Michele
Lea Michele looked wonderful in this shimmery gown. Not sure if I'm in love with her hair to compliment the look, but its better than most that were on the red carpet.

Who were  your favorites from the red carpet?

J'Adore or Abhor? VMA Edition

J'adore or Abhor?

Ok...I'm not sure how I feel about either one of these looks. They are both on the fence to me. What do you think? Let me know what you think about Eva Pigford and Naturi Naughton. You may be able to sway my opinion.

My Fave BET Award Looks

I have to be honest, there weren't many looks that peeked my interest as far as the red carpet and the event went. I had way more hated looks than loved ones. In an attempt to not be too negative I decided not to post all the ones that I hated. So here are a few that I loved.

For the ladies I was loving the leggy look. Short dresses and skirts are really doing it for me these days. I loved the colors, shoes, accessories, hair and make up for each. They look lovely and bronzed; sexy and care free at the same time.

I had to include some boys this time. There is nothing like a fine ass man with clear skin cleaned up and in a suit! UGH! Kill me now and bury me in Gucci.

Red Carpet Review: 2009 SAG Awards

Last night was the SAG Awards and you know I couldn't wait to jump all over the red carpet. In general I must say I was disappointed. There were some repeat offenders, as well as those who did the damn thing yet again.

My over all winner on the red carpet this time was Kate Winslet in an absolutely beautiful purple Narciso Rodriguez gown. It was very flattering to her figure and stunning. A beautiful gown to follow the one she wore at the Golden Globes only a few short weeks ago.

Eva Longoria was a very close second in her peachy/coral Jenny Packham gown. From head to toe I loved this look. What more can I say?

Most improved goes to Taraji Henson. She really did an about face in this white Herve Leroux gown. I'm very happy she decided to step her red carpet game up. Must be the recent Oscar nomination for her role in the Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Whatever the case may be, this is a good look for her.

Red Carpet Review: 66th Annual Golden Globe Award Show

And the winner is.....

Eva Longoria Parker took the red carpet for me in this very classy Reem Acra gown. With this red gown that seems to be an extension of the already red carpet she still stands out. If someone just said to me a gown that is strapless, has a v-neck and has scalloped trim, I would probably say its ugly and how does that work. But it works! I love it head to toe. She's my winner of the night.

Beyonce was a runner up in this Elie Saab gown. Always minimizing her waist, exaggerating her curves and giving you a peek-a-boo thigh she knows what works for her body.

Eva Mendes looked stunning in Dior. The white dress against her olive skin matched with the jewelry was a hit for me. Classy and elegant but still chic and didn't play it too safe.

Ana Pacquin (left) and Hayden Panettiere (right) both looked stunning and gave it up for the 25 and under crowd. Hair, make up and gowns were both on point for the up and coming stars who are holding their own on the small screen. I would also like to give a very big congratulations to Ms. Pacquin who received an award last night for her role as Sookie Stackhouse on the critically acclaimed HBO Series True Blood. I absolutely adore this show and so glad that she won.

Last night's Golden Globe awards was full of fresh faced make up with a smokey eye here and there. I saw a lot of one shoulder gowns or strapless that were form fitting through the torso with free flowing bottoms. I was pleased for the most part but there were definitely some women that did not stand up to the evening...more on those who missed later.
