J'adore or Abhor? Adrienne Bailon

J'ADORE OR ABHOR?

I'm not sure how I feel about this dress that Adrienne Bailon wore on a red carpet. While I think her face is flawless, her hair is amazing and the shoes are cute, I'm not really feeling the dress.

What do you all think? J'adore or abhor? Do you love it or hate it?

What You Won't Do Is....

Dear Ashanti,

What you won't do is show up on a red carpet looking as if you were dressed by a kiosk in the middle of the mall. What in the ball room dancer Halloween costume do you have on? This dress looks like the losing look on an episode of Project Runway.

If you haven't noticed Beyonce's thighs are on the hot list this week, not yours. Put them away. We aren't checking for them.

You have a new song out and that's fine. You're making your press rounds. However, this was just beyond unnecessary...and I haven't even made it to your makeup yet.

Now to the makeup! The colors are off. The shadow used on the lower lash line is not complementary to her ensemble. I'm not a fan of the lip color either. The monochromatic nature of the lips, cheek and dress bothers me.

Just my opinion...but do better!

Red Carpet Love: Viola Davis

Viola Davis looked absolutely stunning on the red carpet for the Golden Globes this past Sunday. She didn't need much help and it shows. This haircut is very fitting for her and love the peek of the leg in her gown. Kudos to her! Just wish she would have won in her category. Because she's so "kiiiiiind and smaaaaaart and imporrrrtant" LMAO

2011 Met Gala Red Carpet Favorites

Here are my favorites from the red carpet of the 2011 Met Gala.

Ciara looks great. Still hate her lacefronts. I wish Beyonce would share her lacefront hookup with others. She's doing them such a disservice.

Janelle Monae looks like she's wearing her normal attire, however its always better when you can say its Chanel. I'm a sucker for black and white, but there is something so chic and feminine about this at the same time.

Queen Beyonce herself graced the red carpet looking stunning. Too bad she couldn't walk in her gown.

Jennifer Lopez...need I say more?

Joy Bryant.....not one of my favorite gowns, however, I am shocked that she is wearing makeup. I don't think I've ever seen her in makeup. It's not a lot, but it still does wonders. Makeup looks good on her!

Blake Lively has been looking like a mermaid lately on every red carpet that she graces. At first I thought it was only the change in hair color, but her choice of draped gowns is contributing to this feel as well.

Iman looked stunning and like a bronzed goddess. Always statuesque and commanding attention on the red carpet.

LaLa Vasquez looked absolutely stunning. One of my favorites on red carpets lately.

Who were your favorites?

2011 SAG Award Red Carpet Trends

I noticed a few trends on the red carpet. Gowns were either nude, pink, orange or red. Make up was very clean with no emphasis on the eye and a slightly pink cheek.

I wasn't too sure if I was liking the color palette, only because of the way it played off of the carpet that is already red. However, if I'm not looking at the carpet and just the gowns I like it. Mila Kunis was definitely my favorite out of this bunch H2T.

What are you thinking of this trend?

Emmys 2010 Red Carpet Fashion

And the winner is for my favorite look of the evening.....none other than the always glamorous Kim Kardashian!

Kim looked stunning in her white Grecian gown with embellishment around the neck. She wins H2T (Head 2 Toe). From make up, hair, gown and accessories her look is flawless. She never disappoints me on a red carpet. Very elegant look and I loved it.

The Dark Angels...

Eva Longoria Parker, who is normally my winner on red carpets, looked stunning as well in this Narcisso Rodriguez gown. She always gets it right from head to toe.

Heidi Klum opted for a short Marchesa dress. With those legs, and the fact that she actually doesn't have a baby bump right now, I would have done the same thing.

Kelly Osbourne looks great in this gown. The draping on the top married with the detail of the bottom makes for an excellent look that working very well with her shape.

The Blushers....

Mariska Hargitay looked absolutely stunning in this blush toned gown. I'm very upset we will no longer be seeing her on TV as Olivia Benson. I hope she finds work soon with an amazing show so we can see her on a red carpet again!

Eva LaRue of CSI Miami looked beautiful in her gown as well. Although I would have preferred a more elegant hair do the gown is still gorgeous.

Nina Dobrev looked stunning in her gown. Hair and make up was beautiful as well.

LAMB Moment! Nia Long

Nia Long looked absolutely stunning (as if she ever has an off moment) at the premiere for Chris Rock's new comedic documentary entitled Good Hair. From H2T (head to toe) she looks amazing. She's so gorgeous and glowing.

The film which documents the ins and outs of black women and the many struggles we encounter with our has debuted in select cities, and will be out nationwide October 9th.

My Fave BET Award Looks

I have to be honest, there weren't many looks that peeked my interest as far as the red carpet and the event went. I had way more hated looks than loved ones. In an attempt to not be too negative I decided not to post all the ones that I hated. So here are a few that I loved.

For the ladies I was loving the leggy look. Short dresses and skirts are really doing it for me these days. I loved the colors, shoes, accessories, hair and make up for each. They look lovely and bronzed; sexy and care free at the same time.

I had to include some boys this time. There is nothing like a fine ass man with clear skin cleaned up and in a suit! UGH! Kill me now and bury me in Gucci.

Red Carpet Review: 2009 SAG Awards

Last night was the SAG Awards and you know I couldn't wait to jump all over the red carpet. In general I must say I was disappointed. There were some repeat offenders, as well as those who did the damn thing yet again.

My over all winner on the red carpet this time was Kate Winslet in an absolutely beautiful purple Narciso Rodriguez gown. It was very flattering to her figure and stunning. A beautiful gown to follow the one she wore at the Golden Globes only a few short weeks ago.

Eva Longoria was a very close second in her peachy/coral Jenny Packham gown. From head to toe I loved this look. What more can I say?

Most improved goes to Taraji Henson. She really did an about face in this white Herve Leroux gown. I'm very happy she decided to step her red carpet game up. Must be the recent Oscar nomination for her role in the Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Whatever the case may be, this is a good look for her.

Red Carpet Review: 66th Annual Golden Globe Award Show

And the winner is.....

Eva Longoria Parker took the red carpet for me in this very classy Reem Acra gown. With this red gown that seems to be an extension of the already red carpet she still stands out. If someone just said to me a gown that is strapless, has a v-neck and has scalloped trim, I would probably say its ugly and how does that work. But it works! I love it head to toe. She's my winner of the night.

Beyonce was a runner up in this Elie Saab gown. Always minimizing her waist, exaggerating her curves and giving you a peek-a-boo thigh she knows what works for her body.

Eva Mendes looked stunning in Dior. The white dress against her olive skin matched with the jewelry was a hit for me. Classy and elegant but still chic and didn't play it too safe.

Ana Pacquin (left) and Hayden Panettiere (right) both looked stunning and gave it up for the 25 and under crowd. Hair, make up and gowns were both on point for the up and coming stars who are holding their own on the small screen. I would also like to give a very big congratulations to Ms. Pacquin who received an award last night for her role as Sookie Stackhouse on the critically acclaimed HBO Series True Blood. I absolutely adore this show and so glad that she won.

Last night's Golden Globe awards was full of fresh faced make up with a smokey eye here and there. I saw a lot of one shoulder gowns or strapless that were form fitting through the torso with free flowing bottoms. I was pleased for the most part but there were definitely some women that did not stand up to the evening...more on those who missed later.
