LAMB Moment! Nia Long

Nia Long looked absolutely stunning (as if she ever has an off moment) at the premiere for Chris Rock's new comedic documentary entitled Good Hair. From H2T (head to toe) she looks amazing. She's so gorgeous and glowing.

The film which documents the ins and outs of black women and the many struggles we encounter with our has debuted in select cities, and will be out nationwide October 9th.

Movie Review: Bride Wars

I finally saw the movie Bride Wars that I had waited so long for. It was only right that I went to see the movie about two best friends with my very own best friend. I liked the movie a lot. Not sure if I can say that I loved it, but I definitely liked it.

I expected to see more montages where the main characters were trying on wedding gowns, and I didn't see that. One never tried on a dress at all, and the other bought the first one she tried on, and it was the only gown you saw in the movie until the end. To me this movie was to be yet another catalyst or inspiration for women planning their weddings and to aide the wedding industry. It's now basically February and the peak wedding season is now approaching.

Hair and make up also wasn't what I had envisioned for the movie. I guess I was expecting more than what I got. However, I did enjoy the fashion in the movie. Maybe they wanted to focus more on the story. Its not like it was Sex and The City where fashion and make up was such an integral part of the story.

In all, I liked the movie, but I expected more from the superficial side.

BRIDE WARS IN THEATERS THIS FRIDAY

I can't wait until this Friday so I can finally see Bride Wars. For whatever reason (maybe the fact that everyone on earth is getting married these days) I have been obsessing over weddings. Dresses, venues, photographers, hair and make up. Anything that you can imagine is a part of the day...I'm thinking about it. And I don't even have a man!!!! Thank God my best friend is getting married in June and I can help her plan her big day to the love of her life.

I think the concept of the movie is absolutely hilarious...yet serious at the same time. My best friend and I were approached not too long ago with the idea of getting married on the same day (by a silly man of course). To their surprise we freaked out and let out a few explitives saying that it would be a cold day in hell before we got married on the same day. Honestly we can't even get married in the same year. I need her while I'm planning and she's going to need me. Its a time to be selfish and share the spotlight with your honey...

As far as the movie is concerned, I'm expecting wonderful fashion, great make up, and great hair. And of course I'm expecting a montage of the main characters trying on wedding gowns. Now if that won't be an inspiration to summer brides as well as a boost for the bridal industry (as if it needed one).
