Sparkly Satin Shoegasm

I'm really intrigued by sparkles these days, but I'm still fairly simple and understated in things that I choose to wear. So it's no surprise to me that these shoes stopped me in my tracks as soon as I saw them online.

I think I want every color.

Disappointed: Fall Shoe Collections

I'm starting to wonder if its just me. Is my taste changing now that I'm getting older? Or are my go to designers for fall shoe collections letting me down? I think its a little bit of both.

I recently went to Nordstrom to see what shoes they had for the fall and to my surprise I saw NOTHING that I liked. There was one shoe that I tried on but once I put it on it wasn't cute anymore. It didn't call out to me. (Ladies you know how the shoe has to seductively call out your name right?!?) I had not one Shoegasm. That's disappointing. If you can't joy anywhere else in your life you're supposed to be able to do that in a shoe section. I always flock to the BCBG table...and it was a BUST!

I thought maybe its just the particular store that I went to. I'll look again on line....still...nothing. This is rather depressing. I told myself that I want to step my shoe game up and these designers aren't helping me. Maybe I need to look elsewhere. Until then I'll be sad and shoeless....

Shoe Haul

Its been quite some time since I have purchased shoes. So I was quite excited today when I got two new pair. I was supposed to be on a mission for specific items to make a cake for my boyfriend when I just so happened to wander into DSW. But hey, I still got my cake items...an hour later.

I've been looking for really cute flats and flip flops for the summer. I completely forgot that during the fall and winter I threw all the summer shoes I had out to force myself to buy new ones. Guess I should have thought about if I was going to have money to replace them first. I wasn't in the store long before I came across the Deba Sandal by Bandolino. They were originally $59.99 and were on sale for $39.90. Although I told myself that I was not going to spend an insane amount of money on sandals, I couldn't help myself but to  get two of the three colors that the shoe came in. (Mind you I had all three in my hand at first and put a box back) I ended up getting the shoe in black and in cognac. I figure they are leather and made well and I will definitely be wearing them as a staple shoe all summer when I want to be cute but not wear heels.

SHOEGASM!

I know its been a while since I have had a shoegasm, but honestly I haven't been looking for shoes lately, or doing any shopping for that matter. But today I was online and decided I would go to chickdowntown and do a little searching. I was actually looking for a dress and I wasn't really focused. So I decided I would go on over to the shoes...and low and behold. SHOEGASM! I wasn't on the site more than 5 minutes, and as soon as I hit the shoes there they were. The Giuseppe Zanotti Zebra Peep Toe Pump. Sex on heels as I like to call them. And hopefully I can make them mine by the time my birthday rolls around.

I Love This Look!

This is a look I found while browsing today on Saks online. This Milly look is very sexy, sophisticated and chic. Tie neck blouse in ecru at $225 and lavendar chain detail high waisted pencil skirt in an italian jacquard at $285. They have paired the look with Christian Louboutin Simple 85 pump in camel at $595.

Shoegasm: "Tammy" Pump by L.A.M.B.

Here is my new love....the 'Tammy' pump by L.A.M.B. I'm still catching my breath. I will be fantasizing about this shoe until the leather caresses my size 8.5 foot with a fresh pedicure in the spring. I will have this shoe. Mark my words. I will be gifting myself for Valentine's Day (because I love me that much). But if someone would like to gift them to me...I will gladly and humbly accept the shoe that way also.
