ANTM Cycle 15 Begins

Last night was the premiere of America's Next Top Model Cycle 15. For the first time Tyra Banks is on the hunt for a high fashion model and not just commercial, plus size or petite.

The winner of this season will win a contract with IMG and have a spread in Italian Vogue. Watch the clip below for more details of what is to come on this season.





I honestly forgot the season was coming on. Thank God for twitter for keeping me updated. So far I don't have a favorite nor am I impressed by any of the girls. Its still too early for me. No one has a name or an identify yet. Check in with me after the makeovers. I am very curious however to see how different the makeovers will be since this is supposed to be the most high fashion cycle yet. I'm anticipating lots of long hair and possible disappearing eyebrows.

Absolutely loving this video for "Sex Therapy" the latest single by Robin Thicke. As if the song wasn't enough, now there are visuals to match the mood that the song invokes. I adore the aristocratic and baroque feel that the scenery and styling provides. And if you notice Salesha (winner from ANTM) is in the video. She looks amazing as do all the women.

Oh how I swoon for Robin Thicke. Can't wait until his next album drops.

ANTM Gripe!

Ok this is just a general rant. I can't get it off my mind. I know that this cycle of America's Next Top Model is supposed to be for the vertically challenged beauties of the world, and being a whopping 5'3" myself I can greatly appreciate this. What I don't appreciate and I don't understand is why Tyra is making them always wear flats. Am I the only one who has noticed this? It MUST be something written in the contract for appearances to emphasize the fact that they are petite and short. 

With all the talk they do at pan about appearing taller and the odds are against them, why would you MAKE them look that much shorter. I'm small but damn it when I put my heels on you can't tell me I'm not 5'9".  When they approach the judges at panel week after week, challenge after challenge they are in front of the industries elite. Why not allow them to put their best heel forward and appear taller?!?

We all know they are short. But why make them look that way? Tyra stresses in panel week after week that they need to make themselves appear taller...DAMN IT WEAR HEELS. 

This is just my opinion and I had to get that off my 5'3" frame. 

LAMB Moment!

I always wonder what past contestants from America's Next Top Model are doing and love it when they pop up in commercials, photo shoots and ads. Bre from Cycle 8 is still doing the damn thing. She was in the top 5 that season. How could we forget her famous quote as she exited, "I'm the 4th baddest bitch in America".

Some photos popped up from a recent photo shoot she has done and she looks absolutely stunning! Maybe her skin looks so flawless from free products she received from the Ambi commericals. Who knows, but she looks great and is definitely telling people LOOK AT ME BITCH!

ANTM Cycle 12 on March 4th!

I can't tell you how excited I am for America's Next Top Model to come back around. I literally gasped then screamed when I saw the teaser commercial for cycle 12 last week. It seems like the cycles are closer and closer together each year, but I still get impatient waiting for the next batch of fresh faced girls to grace the CW network on Wednesdays at 8pm. (nice plug huh?!?)

I'm not too sure how I feel about the fact the website has already listed the top 12 girls that will be the contestants moving into the house. Part of me wishes that I hadn't known, but now I do. IF you would like to know who the contestants are click here.

After looking at the girls I'm not impressed at all. I hope since its a 2 hour premiere that they do the makeovers on the first episode. I'm not liking what I see and I can't even imagine how to make some of them look better or more cutting edge. I'll leave that up to my she-ro herself Tyra. It doesn't even look like there are any plus size models this time. Which might be a good thing, they tend to get on my nerves after a while. And I still hate the fact that Whitney won cycle 10.
