Global Grind and Kim K...Have Many Seats!

I woke up this morning to a friend and fellow Bey Stan alerting me that a Global Grind blogger did a post on "5 Things Beyonce Can Learn From Kim K". Now let me say I had literally just opened my eyes and grabbed my phone. I didn't waste time even putting my glasses on or wiping the crust out of my eyes (hey it's allergy season yes I have crust in my eyes) to begin reading the post.

I thought maybe it was just a silly teaser to make people read the post (which it worked) and that there would be valid statements made in a joking manner. To my surprise and sheer disgust, someone actually believed what they wrote.

Let me read this blog post for filth really quick:

1. Beyonce's social media model is just fine. Matter of fact it's quite genius. She is selective about what she posts, and fans and stans alike are eager and patient to see what she is going to give us next. The posts are honest, genuine, and not dollar driven.

2. I don't know any parent that is going to take parenting advice from someone who doesn't have any children and simply swallows them. She has her mother and sister for that. Get out of here. More importantly, how is Kim supposed to school Bey on paparazzi when Kim INVITES the paparazzi wherever she goes. Never been shy of camera time but hey that's how we knew who she was in the beginning anyway.

3. Bey doesn't need to capitalize off of everything. You know what she capitalizes off of?!? HER TALENT. Last time I checked Kim doesn't have that. Is Kim a beautiful girl. Yes, no one can take that from her. Does she market her ass off. Yes, no one can take that from her either. But her business model has nothing to do with talent. Again...have a seat.

4. Bey is a grown ass woman with an amazing voice. If she wants to partake in her glass of red wine on Sundays when she has pizza or pop a bottle of champagne to celebrate yet another amazing point in her career or her husband's then so be it. While Kim may lead a "sober life" I'm instantly reminded of her being pissy drunk on her reality show. Trying to think of when I saw Beyonce drunk in public....don't worry...I'll wait.

5. This article couldn't even give you a 5th reason why Bey should take hints from Kim. It said give your own. Well let me tell you why this article is pure t-rash. Jay said it best "But really the fact is, we not in the same bracket. Not in the same league, don't shoot at the same baskets. Don't pay the same taxes, hang with the same bitches"

Anyone who believes any of the statements from the article can dive face first into a pool of bleach with their eyes open (in the words of the almighty Kid Fury). I like Kim for what she's worth (which isn't much more than a pretty face and a nice body) but this was absolutely stupid.

So Global Grind can have a seat. I believe there are 5500 of them in the Ovation theater in Revel where she will be performing in 14 days. Hmph! In Beysus name, Slaymen. #killerbey

2011 SAG Awards

I have been completely underwhelmed this awards season. So much so that I didn't do a post for the Golden Globes. I planned on it...but I just didn't care anymore. From hair, to gowns, to make up I was just left wanting more. However there are some red carpet regulars that never let me down.

Here are my favorites from tonight......and MY personal winners from the red carpet are.....

Hilary Swank
Hilary Swank looked lovely in her nude gown. Just wish her hair was pulled back just a little more. I don't like when there is an off the shoulder or one shoulder gown just for you to cover it up with your tresses. Move those locks and show that shoulder!

Eva Longoria
Eva Longoria is always my  number 1 on the red carpet. From hair, to makeup, gown and accessories she is always well put together. There is always continuity in her ensemble and then a surprise pop of color. Although there wasn't a pop of color there was the slight chance of a nip slip on the red carpet forecast.

Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian...Oh Kimmy.....she never lets me down. She looks stunning in Marchesa and I love this wine/burgundy color on her. I was surprised by the nearly naked face but it works. Wish the hair was slightly more controlled but still better than most that showed up.

Sofia Vergara
Sofia Vergara looked amazing in this cobalt gown. She never leaves anything to the imagination when it comes to curves and cleavage, however I normally don't like her gowns. She tends to look she's always in a cheap prom gown but this time she got it right. Now only if she would do something different with her hair.....

Lea Michele
Lea Michele looked wonderful in this shimmery gown. Not sure if I'm in love with her hair to compliment the look, but its better than most that were on the red carpet.

Who were  your favorites from the red carpet?

Belle Noel by Kim Kardashian

If you don't already know I'm in love with Kim K and her fashion sense. She never disappoints me and I always love her accessories. One of my fashion resolutions this year is to increase my accessories collection substantially. Well now thanks to Kim and her new line Belle Noel I can!

"It’s been a dream of mine for a long time to have my own jewelry collection, so it was such an amazing opportunity and experience to sit down and create designs that I feel reflect my personal style, and a collection that is also varied and offers a little something for everyone. You guys know I love my statement jewelry pieces, so I wanted to create pieces that really stand out and make a statement, but most importantly, I wanted to make them affordable for everyone!" -Kim Kardashian

Stack Bangle $88

Honey Hexagon Locket with Clear Pave $48

Nugget Stud Earrings $13

I love the pieces that I have seen thus far and think they would be a great addition to any couture cuties wardrobe. Prices range from $13-$125. I really think there is something for everyone here, whether you're a plain jane or super funky. Things are sweet and feminine with the perfect amount of edge. Totally balanced (which doesn't surprise me since she's a fellow Libra *hair flip*).

You can pre-order items now on pinkmascara.com but they will not ship until March 30, 2011. If you want something I would order as soon as possible I'm sure it will sell out just as anything with the Kardashian name on it does.

Are any you all interested in the line? What are your thoughts? Let me know!

LAMB Moment! Kim Kardashian

I know there are many men and women that hate her....BUT I LOVE HER! You can say what you want about her but I think she's great. Anyway...Ms. Kim Kardashian is my next luscious lady up for a LAMB Moment. For those who are not familiar with the term that I have coined or may have forgotten what it means, LAMB stands for "look at me bitch". Its for women who exude the utmost confidence and look stunning and flawless while commanding the attention of all those who survey. Their swag just screams out "LOOK AT ME BITCH".

Ok...back to Kim....I absolutely loved the switch-a-roo she pulled with the blonde wig. I loved it and thought the color was very flattering with her skin tone. Whether its temporary or here to stay its a good look for her. And her resemblance to Jennifer Lopez was uncanning!

Kim...this one is for you.
