Makeup Monday: Spring Eyes with Fully BEATable

Today's Makeup Monday comes by way of Fully BEATable. Click here for the complete post from her blog. One of my favorite spring/summer colors is aqua and I'm a sucker for a peachy nude lip. Such a wonderful smokey yet vibrant eye to wear this spring. Make sure to check her blog for complete product listing.

Tutorial Tuesday: Warm Brown Eyes

**UPDATE** Ok I know that I told you all that I was going to start doing tutorials, and I am! It would be just my luck that my camera is now broken. *cue tears* I don't know how it happened. I was out at a birthday party, snapping away and it just stopped working. My mom got me this camera for Christmas 3 years ago after my other camera randomly died on the first day of a vacation in Jamaica. I'm starting to think I have bad luck with cameras....

Anyway, I'm going to continue to post some of my favorite tutorials by other gurus until I can get up and running. Today's tutorial comes from one of my favorite make up gurus on youtube DRBrooklyn730. This particular look she created is a clean and simple look that I think many of you will appreciate. Watch the video below.

FOTN: Birthday Blues

Again....I'm obsessing over blues. Not only do I love the color I wanted to do a sapphires and diamonds theme for the weekend of my 25th birthday. I'm normally not into rhinestones and glitter and sparkles or sequins. Blame it on the age or I'm just growing into my own but I love them now (in moderation of course). Guess my alter ego likes to be really flashy and sparkly.

Here is the face I did for going out.

Products used:
NYX Jumbo pencil in milk
MAC Silver Ring (inner 1/3 of lid)
MAC Freshwater (middle of lid)
MAC Contrast (outer 1/3 of lid and into crease)
MAC Carbon (intensify crease)
MAC Grain (brow highlight)
Strip lashes with rhinestones (can't remember the brand. lost the box sorry)
Urban Decay 24/7 Eye pencil in  Zero

MAC Haul, Cotton Candy Eye & Product Review

Ok I've been getting a little carried away with the E/S looks this week but I can't help myself. I went to the MAC counter (yet again) and picked up a few things. I couldn't help but run home and try them right away.

I have quite a few pink shadows from MAC that I have acquired over the years but I never really used them and I'm not sure why, because I wear a lot of pink and its one of my favorite colors. I got a new blush, a lip gelee that I had been looking for and other places were out of stock, an E/S and the Fix+ spray that I said I was going to get. I spent less than $75 and I'm very happy with my purchase. Here is the new look that I tried using pinks and a touch of purple. Let me know what you think! If you want to know how I did it just ask me.

Product List:
  • MAC E/S in "swish", "hepcat", "nocturnelle" and "grain"
  • Loreal HIP cream liner in black
  • MAC blush in "sunbasque"
  • MAC lip gelee in "slicked pink"
  • MAC "Dazzle Lash" mascara
  • MAC "Fix+ Spray"

Product Review: I must say that I love the Fix+ spray and I'm really excited about the color pay out for the lip gelee in slicked pink. I had tried sunbasqued at the counter before (which is just a shade lighter than peachtwist). I didn't think I would need it since I already had peachtwist but it gives such a different look. Love it all!

Brown and Black Smokey Eye

I tried a smokey eye using brown and black. This is how it came out. Everything I used was either from MAC, Loreal's HIP line or NYC.

List of products used:

  • MAC E/S in "carbon", "mulch" and "grain" (lid, crease, brow highlight)

  • HIP cream liner in black

  • MAC blush in "peach twist"

  • NYC lip pencil in 954A

  • MAC lipstick in "lovelorn"

  • MAC lipglass in "good as gold"

  • MAC "Dazzle Lash" mascara

If you have any questions on how I did it let me know.
